Approximately 30 guns were captured at Forts Hatteras and Clark at the battle of Hatteras Inlet. I have found a listing for the 32 pdrs. at Fort Hatteras, including their serial numbers. A check of Wayne Stark's book on known surviving Civil War cannons contains 5 of these serial numbers. Is there another source where I might find listings of Civil War cannons? I hope to get photos of all that still exist.

I have not found a similar listing of serial numbers for the guns captured at Fort Clark. All of the guns except for a 100 pdr. from Fort Macon were sent down from Gosport Navy Yard in Portsmouth, VA.
