Company A, First Battalion, Alabama Artillery

"Stationed at Fort Gaines, Alabama, August 31-October 31, 1861"

The company has 2 field pieces, one a United States brass gun, patent 1845, the other an iron 4-pounder gun bored to a 6-pounder, captured from the British by Fort Boyer in 1814 and made in 1777."
