My ggrandfather and 2 brothers came to the USA from Germany and landed in Ny in 1852 and joined as volunteers.
My ggrandfather was John Gerhard and served in company G Ny mounted rifles. Is there such a company and how can I go about finding him. His 2 brothers were Joseph and Friedrich Gerhard. My thanks to all. June
