Hello all,

Busey and Martin's Regimental Strengths and Losses at Gettysburg states that two batteries of the 11th Georgia Artillery Battalion (Anderson's Division/Hill's Corps) had some "3-inch Navy Rifles" among their assigned pieces.

Does anyone know what this weapon was? Is this just another name for a 3-inch Ordnance Rifle? Was it of Confederate manufacture?

Also, does anyone know if the South manufactured their own version of the 3-inch Ordnance Rifle?

Appreciate any info you may have on these issues.
