During part of 1863, Robert C. Wood, who commanded a company and then a battalion of Missouri cavalry in Arkansas, possessed a battery of Williams Raid Fire Guns. From the scanty information available, the guns appear to have been assigned to Company C of the battalion. After the fall of the year, the battalion apparently ceased to have them. Does anyone have any idea what unit may have acquired the guns from Wood's Missouri Cavalry Battalion?
