Thanks for the recommendations. I'll have to keep my eye out for a decent price on the work by Dickey. The 1993 edition is very pricey, even used. I'll probably take a look through interlibrary loan first.

Haven't seen the Barnard work listed anywhere so it will probably be an interlibrary loan search as well.

I've studied the bombardment of Fts. Jackson and St. Philip, but those were primarily mortar work. They had some effect (particularly on morale) but were not able to silence the batteries.
