Rifle Canister Question

Hi-

I'm trying to sort out what was in the canister cartridges for all of the main types of ACW field artillery. There is a lot of self contradictory information out there, but I think I have it worked out for the various 6/12 pdr smoothbores and 12 pdr howitzers using the artillery manuals detailed weights, etc. to back out the answer and crosscheck. However, I don't have much information on rifled artillery canister.

So what was in 3"/2.9"/10 pdr canister? Shot size, count, material (iron/lead). How many tiers and how many balls per tier?

How about 20 pdr/3.67"? or James rifle conversions of 6 pdrs?

I've found some information suggesting the 3" round weighed about 8 pounds with sabot (without cartridge bag and powder.) This comes partially from what I've seen online of battlefield recoveries as well as Melton and Pawls book. Unfortunately, I haven't found an xray of one of the cans. I remember seeing a site with many xrays of ACW ammo, but have been unable to relocate it.
