One of the victims of the Body Snatchers was Private Hiram Bland. Today for the first time his great great grandchildren will be at the Camp Chase Cemetery to take his tombstone back to Georgia and place it next to Hiram's wife. Since there was NO body the National Cemetery Admin. would
NOT allow a stone for the victims. Members of the SCV paid for the stone and the descendants will take it home this date. On the stone it says other than his name: Died,Buried,Body Stolen all on Nov.24,1864 at the Camp Chase Prison.
