Following up on the Wiggins' Artillery:

Below is a link. This battery was formed in Arkadelphia, Clark County, Arkansas in May 1861 and accepted into CSA service in July 1861. Their original Capt. was Franklin Roberts who resigned and replaced by Wiggins in May of 1862.

They became horse artillery under Forrest in mid 1862.

In mid 1863 Wiggins was captured with a section near Shelbyville, TN. After that the battery was under a series of lieutenants commanded the remaining section(s)?

McDaniel was fifth sargeant at formation.
